While security seems to be guaranteed, as evidenced by the arrival of the first group of Western tourists to the country after the invasion, the type of traveler who decides to visit this area of the planet can not only be the lover of adventure and strong emotions . Not surprisingly, the first organized tour, which has official permission of the Iraqi government, has been launched by a British agency specializing in adventure tourism. It seems obvious.
Far from noticing the scars left bombs in the country after its passage, travelers now have the chance to see the other Iraq, a country located in the area was the cradle of civilizations, between the rivers Tigris and Euphrates, more 3,000 years. Memories of that time are the archaeological monuments of Erbil (Iraqi Kurdistan’s capital, in the north), the ancient ruins of Babel, the Shiite shrines in Najaf and Karbala and the National Museum of Iraq, among other places.

Undoubtedly, this tour seems to be opening the beginning of the economic and social recovery of a city, Baghdad, and a country, Iraq, better known by the sound and the lights of the bombing by its people, its landscape, its bustle night and their ancestral culture. Is not this a great opportunity to learn about the area that spawned the melting pot of cultures that now make up humanity?
