Ghana, a West African Tour
Ghana or Republic of Ghana is a country in West Africa. Ghana is bordered by Ivory Coast, west, Burkina Faso to the north, Togo to the east and the Gulf of Guinea to the south.
Ghana The word means “warrior king.” During colonial times the place was inhabited by a large number of ancient kingdoms such as Ga Adangbe on the east coast, the interior of Empire Ashanti and various Fante states along the coast.
Ghana received its independence in 1957 from the United Kingdom and the new name (Ghana) was elected to the new nation formed.
